Some of the biggest concerns for new companies or users to use cloud computing is the fact that there is no way to know exactly how much you will be spending each month. However, that is also the beauty of cloud computing because you will most likely save a lot of money. In this tutorial we will look at how to eliminate those concerns by taking a look into the Azure Pricing Calculator.
The Azure Pricing Calculator has all different services that are on offer. You can add them and configure them to what you might need and that will give you an accurate representation of what you might be paying each month.

Adding Products
Once on the calculator page you will have all your different product categories on the left and the option to select from in the middle. As you can see from the screenshot above you can select some of the most common ones like Virtual Machines, Storage accounts and App Services.
Once you select a product it gets added to “Your Estimate” section where you can change different configurations about the product depending on what you need. You can also place the amount of time you think you will be using this product. This will then give you an estimate based on location of the product and current pricings from Microsoft.
Continue doing this for all products you need until you have a full estimate which will give you an idea of how much it will cost you to run these services. The calculator also provides you with the ability to save estimates for a later date.
Overall the Microsoft Azure Pricing Calculator provides you with a lot of functionality and a way to estimate your cloud infrastructure costs before setting anything up in Azure.
